Rigado – www.rigado.com
When it comes to electronics and firmware, the team at Rigado is the smartest group of guys I have ever worked with. They started out offering electronics design services but now offer full-service engineering and design services…with a twist. Rigado’s BT modules (system on a chip) are precertified and come with iOS and Android libraries that make them a perfect option for startup wearable and other BLE (Smart Bluetooth) devices. If you need any help getting your project done, Rigado can help fill in the gaps.
Verizon – www.verizon.com
I have done M2M business with all the major cellular carriers (and many of the aggregators). Verizon consistently delivers great rates, the best network, and excellent service for M2M projects that will be deployed primarily in the U.S. (or North America).
RelianceCM – www.reliancecm.com
Reliance is a great group of people who specialize in electronics contract manufacturing in the United States. The company was instrumental in helping VendScreen get initial products prototyped, manufactured, and delivered. Reliance is a great option for start-up companies because they can provide prototypes/short run services and design for manufacturing (DFM) help. They’ll grow with you at reasonable prices and they have a great team of people to work with.
Ramsdell Design Services – http://www.rds-or.com/
Ramsdell Design Services is Ward Ramsdell’s consulting company. Ward has been an important part of many of my projects – helping with board layout, schematic design and difficult RF work. Ward is a tremendous resource for any type of RF project. Ramsdell uses world-class troubleshooting equipment and has lab facilities for small prototype runs. I have done several FCC and cellular certifications with Ward, and he always gets me through with no surprises or cost overruns.

The TAN is a combination incubator/advisor program. I was recently the co-captain of Acousticstream (www.acousticstream.com) and am presently captain of another company that is going to use technology to transform the moving and storage industries (how’s that for a teaser?).
